Is There A Cure?

I just keep thinking ... Just one more stitch, just one more row, just one more row. I'm not eating like I should. I'm not sleeping like I should. What's a Hooker to do? But, I'm a Happy Hooker! Is there a cure for this? Wait a minute! I don't want to be cured. Hooking makes me happy! Designing crochet and giving away free crochet patterns makes me happy!

Can't wait to get out of chemo and home to crochet!

I'm at my chemo treatment today. I have a rash on my chest and arms that is caused by my chemo, Taxol. The nurse said I will have this rash as long as I'm on Taxol. It itches and is very red and sore. She said to take Benadryl and use Benadryl cream and hydrocortisone cream. Just another side effect! I hate cancer ... :(

I'm about half way done with my Charleston Row Afghan. It turned out to be a big project, but I'm pleased with the way it's coming out. I have been having issues with my digital camera so I'm going to exchange it tomorrow after chemo. Then I will be able to post pictures more often. Hugs!
SCARF W/COWL NECK & HOOD
SCARF NECKLACE

I made this scarf necklace for my Mom for Christmas.  If you click on the picture you can get a closer look at it.  You simply take a thin store bought scarf and a charm (I chose this silver cross) and thread it on the scarf to the center.  Then add a couple of silver or black circles and thread those on.  Wrap the scarf so that the cross is at the neck line and it's beautiful?  She loved it!

Crochet Circus Blanket W/Trains & Circus Animals

I have a great idea for a crocheted circus blanket complete with trains and circus animals. I am inspired by a photo of a similiar circus blanket made by a friend's sister years ago for her son. Now my friend wants one for her grandson who is four so we kind of got together and brainstormed and came up with a great design. Now....if she could only crochet and help me make all the pieces for it.....sigh.....lol.

Chemo Today :(

I go for chemo treatments every Monday. I usually sleep half way thru it because they give me an IV of Benadryl for nausea. By the time i get home from chemo, I'm exhausted. My love of crochet is certainly a God send for me. If i didn't have my crochet to occupy my mind, I'd probably go crazzzzzzzzy! Crochet gives me something to look forward to every day. I get very excited when a new idea pops into my head for a new pattern, and I can't wait to finish what I'm working on and get started on a new creation. It keeps my mind occupied with creativity and excitement, instead of dwelling on my cancer, having chemo once a week for the rest of my life, and dying. :( Yes, I think I'll continue to design and crochet my creations that i love sooooo much and try my very, very best to make my blog a huge success! My goal is to reach people that love to crochet as much as I do, share my free patterns with them, and I'll be leaving a part of myself behind in my creations, and when God does decide he wants me to meet Him at the Gates Of Heaven, I'll have a ball of yarn and my crochet hook in my dress pocket! Lol ... ;)

Crochet Top is completed!

Thanks to those who have joined my blog. Please check in every day. Ill be posting the picture of the really cute top I designed and crocheted tomorrow. Cant wait for you to see it! It turned out sooooo cute and it's a very unique piece. I am very excited about sharing my creations and free patterns with you! Love & Hugs!!!

New Patterns

I will be posting some of the crochet pattens for my scarves and hats soon. I'm also working on a crochet top that is going to be soooooo cute!

This past Christmas I wanted to make some crocheted scarves with pockets and some beading on the pockets for my daughter and my mom. A couple of friends saw the first one I finished and absolutely loved it! In the end I crocheted ten scarves like this for Christmas presents! My crochet creation was a big hit with my friends and family!

I love to crochet!!!

Stitchin & Sippin

Grab a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Let's get to know each other. What inspires you to crochet? For me, it can be looking at crochet patterns online and I see a way that the crochet pattern can be made better or with a different twist. I love to create a crochet pattern that's never been done before. I get very excited about crocheting a new piece when I'm inspired. It just can't get done quick enough. How about you? What inspires you?

It's all about crocheting and stitching and sipping!

I'm just getting this blog started. I've got to get the pictures of some of my work on here.

I'm always coming up with new ideas and usually in the middle of the night. I would like to say that my ideas are usually things you haven't seen before. They are things that are pretty clever, if I do say so myself. I love scarves and hats for adults and children, blankets, pillows and crochet tops. I am working on a circus blanket pattern for small children. It's almost finished! It has circus trains, a circus tent, and of course the circus animals that go inside the train pockets. It's soooooo cute.

I've been crocheting since I was 12 years old. I'm 55 now and I've always worked, but I am now out of work battling Ovarian Cancer. So I have a lot of time on my hands. And there is nothing I'd rather do than think about my next crochet designs.

So let me get some pictures up and see if we can do some stitching and sipping together!
